Line Kjær is a co-founding partner of KPMG Law Advokatfirma and head of the law firm’s Customs and Global Trade practice.

Line has dealt with indirect tax and international trade in goods for more than 18 years advising Danish and international clients in customs law, VAT and trade matters. Line has assisted companies in trade compliance in generel and with the implementation of customs suspension procedures, the use of Free Trade Agreements inbound and outbound as well of regimes of non preferentiel rules of origin and made-in labelling.

Furthermore, she has represented clients before the Danish courts and administrative appeal bodies and before the EU Court of Justice in a wide range of trade issues, including e.g. antidumping, classification, preferentiel and non-preferentiel orgin, customs debtor decisions and applicaple administrative tradelaw. A substantial part of her client work has concerned customs, cross-border trade and cases that raise questions of principle concerning EU customs law.

Line has been recognized as highly regarded practitioner within the field of indirect tax in World Tax 2021.

Line is associate professer at Aarhus University lecturing customs law.
